Reading Activity

Last Saturday, Sophie was with her friends because it was her birthday. They were at the cinema watching the new horror film “The Puppet Master”. There were lots of people at the cinema because everybody was in love with the story of that movie. Sophie told her friends that the movie was excellent. After the movie finished, Sophie’s friends took her to Jeremy’s, a fast food restaurant. There was an excellent fast-food menu. There was pizza, burritos, hamburgers, hot dogs and sandwiches. But there wasn’t Sophie’s favorite meal: turkey sandwiches. So, she was sad because she wanted to eat a turkey sandwich on her birthday. But her sadness disappeared when the cake arrived. It was a delicious chocolate cake.
